What you'll do

  • Detailed analysis of functional and technical requirements for the implementation of new functionalities or the modification of existing systems.
  • Design and development of programs in COBOL, following coding best practices and company standards.
  • Creation and optimization of JCL procedures for the execution of Batch jobs.
  • Design, development, and maintenance of SQL statements to interact with DB2 databases.
  • Performance of unit, integration, and regression testing to ensure the quality of the developed code.
  • Identification and correction of errors (debugging) in COBOL applications.
  • Active participation in the planning and estimation of development tasks.
  • Collaboration with infrastructure and operations teams for the implementation and production deployment of applications.
  • Technical documentation of the developments carried out.
  • Support and evolutionary maintenance of existing COBOL applications.
