Microservices and event-driven architecture
Reactive programming (WebFlux)
Redis (HA)
PostgreSQL (Aurora) and Oracle
AWS (EKS, S3, IAM, CloudWatch)
CI/CD and code quality
Experience in production environments and high-volume systems

Nice to have

Preferred qualifications

Experience with Kubernetes / OpenShift
Knowledge of Gluon (Santander internal framework)
Functional programming in Java
Experience in the banking sector
Intermediate English level

The role

At Métrica Consulting, we are looking for a mid ii backend developer (senior-mid profile) to join a large-scale strategic project, oriented towards the development of core microservices in key domains such as collections, payments, and invoices.

The selected person will actively participate in the design and implementation of solutions, making detailed architecture decisions and applying advanced integration patterns in distributed environments.

What you'll do

Responsibilities

Development of microservices with Java 17/21 and Spring Boot 3.x / Spring Cloud
Design and implementation of event-driven architectures with Kafka
Application of microservices patterns:
SAGA (orchestration/choreography)
Circuit Breaker, Retry
Outbox Pattern, Dead Letter Queue
Development of high-performance RESTful APIs (OAS3)
Implementation of reactive solutions with WebFlux / Project Reactor
Distributed cache management with Redis (HA)
Database design and optimization (PostgreSQL / Oracle)
Deployment in cloud environments (AWS: EKS, S3, IAM, CloudWatch)
Development of CI/CD pipelines with GitHub, GitHub Actions, SonarQube, Fortify
Application of testing best practices (TDD/BDD, unit, integration, and contract testing)
