The role

We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to design and implement robust engineering processes and platforms. This position requires a comprehensive understanding that DevOps extends beyond tooling to encompass effective collaboration among teams. The ideal candidate will be a critical link between development – infrastructure – security; architecting scalable, secure and repeatable solutions that enable rapid software delivery while maintaining high standard standards.

The role operates at a system-wide level: establishing best practices, shaping the software development lifecycle (SDLC), integrating security into pipelines, developing platforms that empower teams to work efficiently and safely. While hands-on technical involvement is required - the primary contribution of this role lies in architectural leadership, strategic decision-making and process optimization.

What you'll do

  • Process & Platform Design
  • Design and evolve end-to-end SDLC with built-in security, compliance and operational controls.
  • Define where governance is mandatory and where it can be safely automated or delegated.
  • Establish clear responsibility boundaries (RACI) between Dev, Ops, Security teams.
  • Translate business and risk requirements into technical guardrails, not manual gates.
  • Collaboration & Mentorship
  • Act as a technical partner to development teams.
  • Coach engineers on reliability, deployment safety and operational ownership.
  • Facilitate cross-team discussions, turning conflicts into process improvements.
  • Document architectural decisions, trade-offs and constraints in clear language.
  •  CI/CD & Automation
  • Architect and maintain CI/CD platforms that enable fast, reliable and low-risk deployments.
  • Standardize pipelines and environments while allowing controlled flexibility for teams.
  • Reduce manual work and operational toil through automation.
  • Infrastructure & Cloud Architecture
  • Own Infrastructure as Code as a single source of truth (Terraform).
  • Design cloud architectures in Azure  and AWS with focus on reliability, scalability and cost awareness.
  • Ensure environment parity across dev, staging, and production.
  • Support containerized and Kubernetes-based platforms.
  • Reliability & Observability
  • Define and implement SLIs, SLOs and error budgets as a shared language between teams.
  • Build observability (monitoring, logging, tracing) as a trust mechanism
  • Lead incident response practices, including postmortems and systemic improvements.

Requirements - Must have

  • 5+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, Platform Engineering, or Infrastructure roles.
  • Proven experience designing processes.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Azure, including Azure DevOps.
  • Deep understanding of CI/CD architecture.
  • Solid experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
  • Experience with containers and Kubernetes in production environments.
  • Proficiency in automation/scripting (Python, Bash, or PowerShell).
  • Experience with monitoring, logging and incident management practices.
  • Ability to explain complex technical and security topics in simple non-confrontational language.
