In Spain we have 4 production centers: Granollers (Biscuits), Montornés del Vallés (Desserts), Viana (Biscuits), Hospital de Órbigo (Cheese). This offer is aimed at joining the Viana plant. Oreo, Fontaneda, Chips Ahoy and Principe are some of the products we make and distribute both in Spain and across Europe.

Purpose of the Position

As a continuous improvement trainee, you will take part in different efficiency and waste improvement projects on the assigned production line using TPM methodology. You will gain first-hand knowledge of the processes of core pillars such as progressive maintenance, autonomous maintenance and focused improvement.

What you'll do

Main responsibilities

·       Observe, analyze and challenge the practices and processes used in the plant. 

·       Monitor KPIs (Key Performance Indicators), identify root causes of deviations and propose corrective actions 

·       Train and support plant personnel so they know and implement TPM methodology tools

·       Participate in the Improvement Idea Selection (Kaizen) process and support their implementation

·       Process improvement: Evaluate processes and interpret data to develop actions that eliminate losses and improve line performance.

·       Participate in the development and launch of new products and projects.

·       Be part of the cultural change, working alongside other areas to support the core team in the pursuit of operational excellence with a zero-loss and zero-accident mindset.

What we're looking for

Requirements

·       University degree or higher qualification (Agricultural Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Food Science and Technology)

·       Fluent Spanish and fluent English required

·       Good knowledge of Microsoft Office

Nice to have

Leadership Skills / Competencies

·       Communication skills, ease in dealing with plant personnel

·       Teamwork skills

·       Observation, analysis and listening skills

Education & certifications

Degree/Master's in any branch of Engineering.

English B2/C1.

Specialization/experience in Lean, Six Sigma, TPM, industrial organization is a plus.
