And what does the project involve? Day-to-day work is highly varied, but some of the duties you will take part in are: 

  • Interpretation of drawings.
  • TIG welding of piping for pharmaceutical machinery,
  • Preparing stainless steel pipes and fittings: cutting, beveling, alignment, and cleaning.
  • Performing TIG welds on pipes (butt weld, socket weld), ensuring full penetration.
  • Selecting welding parameters (amperage, gas, filler rod) according to the material and thickness.
  • Using shielding gas (argon) and, when applicable, internal purge to prevent oxidation.
  • Welding in different positions (1G, 2G, 5G, 6G).
  • Controlling weld quality: bead uniformity, absence of porosity, cracks, or contamination.
  • Performing repairs or rework if defects are detected.

It is essential

  • Experience in stainless steel welding work (mainly TIG with back purging), assembly and fabrication of structures, piping and industrial equipment, meeting the quality, hygiene and safety standards required in regulated environments.
  • Experience working under sanitary regulations, precision in finishes and the ability to work autonomously or as part of a team will be especially valued, as will availability for travel if the project requires it.
  • Be available to work weekends to cover on-call shifts.

In addition to the requirements mentioned, we positively value having courses in working at height, aerial work platforms and preventive resource training, having your own vehicle, and any additional certification or skill you can bring. These competencies will be an added value for the position.
