About the role

Are you passionate about seeing your decisions turn into real infrastructure that connects people? In the Civil Works division of OCA Global, we don't just manage projects on paper; we ensure that the infrastructure that structures our territory is safer, more sustainable, and more efficient for society. If you're looking for a challenge where your technical expertise has a direct impact on-site and where you enjoy the autonomy needed to lead, this is the place for you.

What you'll do

In your day-to-day, you won't just be filling out reports; you'll be the driving force behind the success of the project in Figueres and its surroundings:

  • Lead, supervise, and direct on-site execution of the road project to ensure rigorous compliance with delivery deadlines, budgeted costs, and the highest standards of quality and road safety, while seeing the real impact of your daily work.

  • Proactively coordinate and manage subcontractors and suppliers, building relationships of mutual trust so the workflow progresses at the right pace and in full synchronization.

  • Perform technical planning and detailed financial monitoring of the project through control of certifications, budgets, and variance analysis, using financial management tools to optimize project resources.

  • Validate technical solutions in the field against structural or hydraulic challenges, using specialized software to resolve issues quickly and provide expert judgment when the site requires design modifications.

  • Act as the key technical point of contact with the faculty and clients, ensuring smooth, effective, and transparent communication that consolidates the credibility of our division in the area and boosts our visibility.

What we're looking for

  • Technical training in Civil Engineering, Public Works Engineering or Technical Architecture: Your academic background will give you the necessary foundations to communicate confidently with all stakeholders involved in the project.

  • A track record of around 10 years in the sector, with solid experience focused on the management or execution of road projects. This expertise will allow you to anticipate common on-site surprises and make quick decisions under pressure.

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Presto, and Microsoft Project: You'll use them daily to manage drawings, project financial reports, and track the schedule with attention to detail.

  • Experience with structural calculation software and HEC-RAS: These will be your technical partners for verifying the behavior of hydraulic infrastructure adjacent to roads (drainage, culverts) and ensuring that the solutions adopted are fully safe.

  • Residence in Figueres or the surrounding area: The project is rooted in the area, and we want you to be able to maintain work-life balance by minimizing physical reload and daily challenges.

How you'll work

Your well-being is our top priority. To make that possible, you'll have a strong foundation for work-life balance with this schedule:

  • Monday to Friday, full• time (8:30 AM to 6 PM). This schedule is flexible depending on the project's needs.

  • Plus, December 24 and 31 are fully off so you can enjoy them with your loved ones wherever you are.

  • A team-based work environment: We value your technical expertise and you'll work with the rest of the technical team to organize and manage the project smoothly.

  • Constant learning and challenges: We work hand in hand with an excellent team of professionals with daily challenges that ensure nothing is left to chance.

  • Close-knit management team: A horizontal and friendly work environment, where management is approachable and you'll feel part of the company's decisions.
