Opdenergy is a growing independent renewable energy producer (IPP) with a presence in Europe, the United States, and Latin America, and with more than 19 years of experience. The company develops, builds, finances, manages, and operates high-quality renewable energy projects in several countries, with a portfolio of 2.6 GW (1.3 GW in operation and more than 1.3 GW ready for construction / under construction) in operating and construction assets. The total portfolio under development exceeds 18 GW.

We are currently looking to hire a Senior Financial Modeller with extensive experience in advanced financial modelling at the HoldCo level, NAV financing, and Tax Equity structures in the U.S., based in Madrid or Seville.

• Development and management of integrated financial models at the HoldCo level, incorporating multiple SPVs, technologies, and geographies.
• Leading the modelling of NAV financing, including cash waterfalls, covenants, upstream dividend distributions, leverage optimization, and stress testing.
• Building and maintaining project- and portfolio-level models for BESS assets (stand-alone and hybrid), solar, and wind in greenfield, brownfield, and operational phases.
• Modelling the specific economics of BESS, including revenue stacking, degradation, and merchant exposure.
• Structuring and analysing Tax Equity transactions in the U.S. (Partnership Flip, Sale-Leaseback, Inverted Lease, ITC/PTC monetization).
• Performing scenario analysis, sensitivities, and downside cases at the project, portfolio, and HoldCo levels.
• Financial support for M&A transactions, platform acquisitions, refinancings, and portfolio leverage initiatives.
• Support for the entry of financial partners and Tax Equity investors, including transaction modelling and documentation support.
• Coordination with internal teams (Development, M&A, Asset Management) and external stakeholders (banks, investors, advisors).
• Preparation and presentation of financial analyses and reports to Senior Management and fund shareholders.

• Between 7 and more than 10 years of experience in financial modelling at renewable energy IPPs, infrastructure/energy funds, or investment banking / project finance.
• Demonstrable and hands-on experience in HoldCo models and NAV financing, renewable assets (BESS, solar, wind), greenfield and brownfield projects, and U.S. Tax Equity structures.
• Advanced Excel skills, with a strong ability to structure and audit complex models.
• Solid knowledge of Project Finance versus HoldCo Finance, key financial metrics (IRR, NPV, DSCR, LLCR), and cash waterfalls and covenant packages.
• Fluent English (essential).
• Experience with international and multi-technology renewable energy portfolios.
• Knowledge of corporate PPAs, merchant exposure, and ancillary services markets (especially for BESS).
• Experience using Python, VBA, Power BI, or other financial automation tools.
