About the role

Palex Medical is looking to hire a Field Service Engineer (Specialty).

The selected candidate will be responsible for the maintenance of hemodialysis equipment, ensuring quality technical service. What you'll do

As a field technician:

  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on hemodialysis equipment
  • Equipment installations and removals
  • Customer training on equipment use
  • Promote maintenance contracts with customers.
  • Maintain quality communication with the customer and implement appropriate corrective actions to ensure their satisfaction.
  • Act autonomously and escalate situations that could impact customer expectations.
  • Manage their spare parts stock and instrument calibration.
  • Report tasks accurately and clearly on the work sheet.
  • Rigorously follow technical maintenance protocols.

As a specialized technician, you will be responsible for:

  • Receive training from various international suppliers. Provide internal training to area technicians.
  • Manage and maintain the technical documentation database for the equipment they specialize in
  • Provide support to area technicians on complex breakdowns and contact the manufacturer if necessary.
  • Define the necessary stock level for optimal operation together with the Field Service Manager.
  • Create and maintain records in the spare parts database.
  • Write and update technical protocols for the equipment they specialize in.

Education & certifications

  • Higher Level Vocational Training (FP) in technical fields (biomedical equipment, electronics, or equivalent). Technical Engineering degree is a plus.
  • Technical knowledge of hospital hemodialysis equipment.
  • English level B1-B2.
  • Proficiency in technical tools and equipment diagnostics.
  • Proficiency in MS Office
