Avionics Production Director

As Avionics Director, your main mission within the area will be to ensure the delivery of components to the avionics integration line. To do this, you will have a team of Production Engineering, Planning, and Production. Other complementary functions include planning (load/capacity and scheduling), industrial development, maintenance, and some additional support functions.

The most immediate challenge will be to organize the area and systems to transition from development to series production. This will involve preparing the teams to expand the number of work shifts, having developed production control, and setting

improvement goals both in costs incurred and quality that lead us toward a mature product.

• Delivering the products needed for the business in terms of quantity, cost, and schedule
• Promoting continuous improvement to enhance the process
• Supervising the production of PCBs, electronic assemblies (SMT/THT), and avionics systems
• Ensuring proper coordination between planning, engineering, and production.
• Managing high-precision manufacturing environments and control (ESD, controlled rooms)
• Ensuring the efficiency of SMT lines, electronic integration, and final assembly
• Coordinating with the supply chain regarding risks of obsolescence or component shortages.
• Ensuring complete traceability of components, batches, and processes.
• Reporting tracking KPIs
• Developing engineering and production teams to create an integrated team
• Developing business plans to support the growth of the activity (machines, services…)
• Ensuring worker safety
• Generating development plans for the different production levels
• Planning growth to meet the necessary demand
• Coordinating and supporting the different production sections
• Integrating the purchasing department to provide the necessary support
• Working with design engineering so that future versions of products are easier to manufacture
• Key indicators: OTD (on-time delivery), OEE (equipment efficiency), Quality, Lead Time, Cost per component, Compliance with certifications/audits, safety

• Electronics, Telecommunications, or Aeronautics Engineering
• +10 years of demonstrable experience leading electronic manufacturing environments
• Experience in managing workshop teams and production-related functions (manufacturing engineering, planning…)
• Demonstrable experience in manufacturing electronic components
• Experience with PLM, ERP, and MRP systems
• Ease of learning, guiding, and collaborating in training the rest of the team, while maintaining a high level of performance.
• Experience working in a workshop environment and controlled rooms.
• Ability to rationalize and break down problems into segments.
• Full command of MS Office tools.
• High level of spoken and written technical English.

• Technical and organizational leadership oriented toward quality and precision
• Experience industrializing and maturing manufacturing processes
• Experience in process development, necessary to move from design to actual part with the appropriate quality and productivity parameters.
• Experience in handling and interpreting international standards, ISO, etc.
• Ability to tackle problem-solving agilely and effectively, minimizing impacts on planning and product quality.
