About the role

As a CAD/CAM Programmer, you will be responsible for programming various machining machines through CAD-CAM, as well as supervising the correct transfer of the program to the machine level. 

What you'll do

  • Determine the optimal machining strategy to manufacture each component. 
  • Program CNC machines using Siemens NX and Hypermill software and solid models provided by engineering. 
  • Work closely with the engineering team to provide crucial information about design for manufacturing. 
  • Knowledge of the tools necessary for operations involving complex machining, as well as the ability and autonomy to design them. 
  • Provide support in creating work instructions for use in the workshop, specifying the most appropriate sequence. 
  • Select the most appropriate tools and calculate working conditions. 

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in aerospace engineering, manufacturing engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field. 
  • + 5 years of experience programming CNC machines at the machine level. 
  • +5 years of experience with different types of machines: lathe, 3-5 axis machining center, multifunction, etc. 
  • + 3 years of experience programming CNC equipment with CAD/CAM software. 
  • Extensive knowledge of machining tools/techniques. 
  • Experience with different types of metals: aluminum, stainless steel, copper, titanium, high-nickel alloys, etc.
