Product Development Engineer (SolidWorks)

●Academic training: Technical/Higher Engineer/Industrial Degree specializing in mechanical or energy engineering

●Experience in mechanical product design and development in an industrial environment, including 3D modeling, drawing generation, and participation in validation and testing processes.

●At least 2 years of experience in a similar position (5 years desirable).

●Knowledge: Proficiency in 3D CAD tools, mainly SolidWorks. Knowledge of mechanical design, drawing interpretation, and material selection. Knowledge of air conditioning will be valued. Proficiency in office tools.

●Languages: at least B2 English. If not, B1 with a commitment to certify at level B within one year.

●Valid driver's license and own vehicle.

●Availability to travel nationally and internationally (around 30% of the annual working day)

●Possession of a valid passport

●Valuable: training in SolidWorks, AF Air Conditioning, AF Trade in accordance with the metal industry agreement, AF Height Health and Safety, AF Basic Level Health and Safety.

From the P&PD engineering (ATS Global group), we are managing the selection process for a Mechanical Product Development Engineer for a major company in Seville, a leader in the vehicle air conditioning sector.

The selected person will be responsible for the design and development of HVAC air conditioning systems for road transport vehicles and will participate in the integration and commissioning of the new product, taking into account quality and cost criteria in the different phases of the project.

To this end, they will carry out the following functions:

●Interpretation of specifications and regulations associated with projects; and preparation of internal documentation

●New product design based on regulations, specifications, and internal project documentation.

●Use of CAD tools for product development and integration of different subsystems.

●Selection of components and definition and development work together with strategic suppliers.

●Creation of documentation and bill of materials to enable the provisioning of components to suppliers and the subsequent manufacture of the product

●Assistance in the assembly of the developed product, verifying that it complies with what is specified.

●Creation of functional, maintenance, and assembly manuals.

●Preparation of type test protocols and series tests.

●Participation in functional and air conditioning field tests on the product once integrated into the vehicle.

●Mechanical design of HVAC equipment using the SolidWorks tool

●Performing CFD studies and finite element analysis

●Design of the refrigeration circuit

●Definition and design of equipment based on regulations and customer specifications

●Development of documentation regarding the project

●Project control and communication with the client

●Work modality: On-site work. Currently, they have one day of teleworking per week which can be Monday or Friday, depending on team organization, and 1 additional day per month from Tuesday to Thursday. Teleworking will be included in the dynamic once the initial training for the position is completed and the person is autonomous in the role itself.

●Schedule flexibility

-Working hours: Monday to Thursday split shift. On Fridays, there is the possibility of working a split shift or an intensive shift. These intensive terms also apply from June 15 to September 15; the worker will decide whether to work a split shift or an intensive shift.
