What we're looking for

The role
From the P&PD engineering (ATS Global group), we are managing the selection process for a Product Development Engineer for the electrical area, for a major leading company in the transport HVAC sector, located in Seville.
The engineer will be responsible for the design and development of HVAC systems for railway vehicles according to internal or customer specifications; they will participate in the integration and commissioning of the new product in railway vehicles and will be an active part of the validation and testing process of these systems.
What you'll do
Main duties:
●Interpretation of specifications and regulations associated with projects, preparation of internal project documentation based on them.
●New product design based on regulations, specifications, and internal project documentation.
●Use of CAD tools for product development and integration of different subsystems.
●Selection of components and definition and development work together with strategic suppliers.
●Creation of documentation and bills of materials to enable the procurement of components to suppliers and the subsequent manufacture of the product.
●Assistance in the assembly of the developed product, verifying that it complies with what is specified.
●Creation of functional, maintenance, and assembly manuals.
●Preparation of type test protocols and series tests.
●Performance of functional and HVAC field tests on the product once integrated into the vehicle.
Specific functions:
●Preparation of interface diagrams and internal wiring diagrams for HVAC systems using Solidworks Electrical / Eplan tools.
●Preparation of construction documentation for electrical installations of HVAC systems using Solidworks Electrical / Eplan tools.
●Integration of automatic control equipment and electrical installations into the HVAC system cabinet and frame using Solidworks Enterprise tools.
●Functional definition based on regulations and customer specifications.
●Preparation of functional reports and coordination of software development for operation according to regulations and customer specifications.
●Integration of HVAC equipment into existing communication systems in railway vehicles.
How you'll work
●Work modality: On-site work, although they have a remote work project underway (1 day a week which can be Monday or Friday, depending on team organization, and 1 additional day per month from Tuesday to Thursday). Remote work will be included once the initial training for the position is completed and the person is autonomous in the role itself.
●Working hours: Monday to Thursday split shift. On Fridays, there is the possibility of working a split shift or an intensive shift. These intensive terms also apply from June 15th to August 31st; the worker will decide whether to work a split shift or an intensive shift.
