Customer Technical Services Engineer

We now have a vacancy for a Customer Technical Services Engineer, reporting to the Customer Technical Services Manager Spain, based in Sevilla (Spain).

Your main areas of responsibilities are to provide technical assistance to specified customers so as to ensure they are fully satisfied in using Crown's products on their processes.

Your missions in Crown

• Ensure that customer filling lines operate safely and efficiently and safeguarding the integrity of and continuing demand for our products.
• Provide assistance and advice on all areas of the can filling line - safety, can handling, filling, seaming, can and end drying - to maximize customer production efficiency and product integrity.
• Do regular seam checks within the customers' plants, repair, maintain and ensure overhaul of can seaming equipment and make suggestions for improvement.
• Maintain product and company reputation by complying with government regulations
• Respond to the customer request for assistance and provide support during not planned hours
• Arrange pro-active visits to customers to analyse customer double seam results or carry out independent checks and advice course of action as necessary and support cost reduction programmes.
• Produce reports and documentation by collecting, analysing, and summarizing information on customer/competition/market/product trends
• Identify chargeable opportunities to provide training for customers personnel where new equipment or technology is being installed or where is considered that skills and facilities should be improved.
• Ensure that the expenses involved in providing technical assistance to customers are within the specified budget.
• Arrange and provide engineering technology support during setting up and running of line trials whether it be customer, Bevcan factories or Beverage Business request.

You are a qualified engineer, with a minimum 3 year industrial experience, ideally with knowledge and experience of double seaming. You are quality and customer oriented, with a sound commercial and continuous improvement awareness.

With a safety mind-set, you are a self-starter, with problem-solving, organisation and communication skills. You are PC literate and you can relate to people at all levels, both with the customers and within our own business. Experience of training delivery would be an asset. You speak fluent Spanish and English. Flexibility and travelling to locations often at short notice are keys to succeed in your role.
