Provide comprehensive patient care, promoting health education, in coordination with the rest of the team members, applying nursing knowledge and following the guidelines established by the center based on the care protocols of each area, contributing to offering excellent service.
Among the functions are:
1. Taking responsibility for direct patient care, in accordance with the nursing care plan of the patients under their charge, ensuring their safety during the care process.
2. Making the necessary entries in the patient's clinical history.
3. Preparing the necessary material for each surgical procedure, as well as assisting the medical team during interventions, in accordance with the protocols established by each medical-surgical specialty.
4. Remaining alert to emergencies and critical situations, being capable of acting correctly under these circumstances.
5. Showing consistency and interest in patient monitoring and control, informing them of how their care will proceed and regarding any other necessary matters, respecting the standards of excellent quality care.
6. Respecting and maintaining an appropriate relationship with patients and families, collaborating in the promotion and maintenance of a professional and respectable environment. Providing, likewise, the information and education that responds appropriately to their needs.
7. Promoting an effective interdepartmental working relationship and working effectively as a team member to facilitate the achievement of the department's objectives and goals.
8. Staying updated on innovations in the field of nursing and pursuing professional growth and development. Serving as a role model, assisting in the organization and supervision of nursing assistants when appropriate and tutoring nursing students when appropriate
