From the Quirónsalud private hospitals in Madrid, we are looking for a Nurse for Emergency Services at Hospital Quirónsalud Sur, located at Calle Estambul, 30, 28922 Alcorcón, Madrid.
Provide comprehensive patient care in the emergency area, promoting health education, in coordination with the rest of the team members, applying the knowledge specific to their category and following the guidelines set by the center based on the area's care protocols, contributing to offering a service of excellent quality.
Maintain adequate communication with patients and relatives, offering information and health education adapted to their needs, informing about the care process and properly recording the activity and evolution in the clinical history.
Perform the classification and management of patients according to their level of urgency, applying the care procedures and protocols established in the service.
Apply techniques and procedures specific to the Emergency area, for both adult and pediatric patients, including wound care, telemetry, arterial blood gases, paracentesis, non-invasive mechanical ventilation, cardiac monitoring, and emergency endotracheal intubation.
Guarantee the correct administration of emergency treatments and medication, especially high-risk ones, ensuring doses, dilutions, administration routes, and other established safety criteria.
Handle the sanitary equipment of the Emergency area safely and effectively, including adult and pediatric crash carts, defibrillator-cardioverter, monitors, oximeters, secretion aspirators, electrocardiographs, and other devices in the area.
Apply and interpret specific emergency procedures, including the management of arrhythmias and the activation and follow-up of MI and STROKE protocols, in accordance with current regulations and procedures.
Maintain professional excellence and contribute to the functioning of the team, updating knowledge, promoting continuous professional development, and collaborating in the organization and supervision of auxiliary staff when appropriate.
