About the role

Do you have experience as a Corporate Management Controller and are you ready to take on a co-leadership role in a powerful corporate environment?

We are selecting a Corporate Management Controller for our client, a prominent hotel chain, for an on-site position at its headquarters.

We are looking for a professional to work in collaboration with the Finance Department in the role of Management Controller. Your main mission will be to design, implement, and operate the group's corporate management control system, turning operational and financial data from all locations into key information for decision-making under the USALI standard, and providing ongoing analytical support for pricing, investment, operational efficiency, and strategic plan monitoring decisions.

What you'll do

  • Functionally lead the development of the group's executive dashboard under the USALI standard, coordinating technical aspects with IT and source data quality with the Hotel Managers at each location.
  • Design specific dashboards for three usage levels: Executive Management (group-wide consolidated view), Hotel Managers (individual asset view), and the Strategic Committee (strategic plan progress).
  • Establish the data update schedule and review cadence: daily operational, weekly revenue, monthly closing, and quarterly forecast.
  • Lead the annual budgeting process for all hotels in the group, coordinating inputs from Hotel Managers, Revenue Managers, the Accommodation Department, and the F&B Department.
  • Quarterly reforecasting with a review of the current year and early identification of budget compliance risks.
  • Monthly variance analysis by hotel, department, and USALI line: identifying root causes and proposing corrective actions.
  • Monthly closing coordination with the Corporate Finance Department, meeting the group's closing calendar.
  • Analysis to support investment decisions (CAPEX), repricing, launching new products or services, and relevant operational changes.
  • Margin analysis by hotel, department, sales channel, and customer segment, as a basis for operational decisions.
  • Coordination with Revenue Management for variance analysis.
  • Audit of the group's key operational processes: F&B purchasing, stock control, staff productivity, energy consumption, shrinkage, and discrepancies.
  • Support for standardizing definitions, calculation methods, and reporting formats across all locations, which is key to ensuring comparability truly works.
  • Support for operations with the expense approval system by level, validating compliance with procedures at each hotel.
  • Produce metrics on the progress and economic impact of the initiatives in the strategic plan presented to the Committee.
  • Maintain the initiative tracking system: milestones, KPIs, budget consumed vs. planned.
  • Serve as the technical secretariat for the Strategic Committee.

Requirements

  • Education: Degree in Business Administration, Economics, or Engineering. A Master's in Management Control will be valued.

MBA or equivalent.

  • Experience: Minimum 6-8 years in management control, with at least 3 years in the hotel or tourism sector.
  • Languages: Native Spanish. Professional English is essential, given the international scope of the position.
  • Technical Skills: USALI, Power BI, SAC or equivalent, advanced Excel/financial modeling, hotel PMS, and the ability to interact with heterogeneous systems.

Benefits and conditions

  • Stability: Permanent contract, full-time position.
  • Joining an international hotel group in the midst of transforming its management.
  • Newly created position, with direct impact and visibility with the Corporate Finance Department and the Strategic Committee.
  • Work-life balance schedule: Monday to Thursday from 8:30 AM to 2:00 PM and 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM, and Friday from 8:30 AM to 2:30 PM.
  • International scope: direct interaction with teams in Barcelona, the Canary Islands, the Dominican Republic, Mexico, and Jamaica.
