The role
Do you want to be part of one of the leading and most advanced projects in the international aerospace sector?
We are looking to bring on several 2D Mechanical Designers or Drafters specialized in Siemens NX to participate in the development of aerospace manufacturing drawings within fuselage and structure projects.
The selected candidate will be part of this exciting project, working from existing 3D models to generate high-level 2D technical documentation, in compliance with aerospace regulations and quality standards.
What you'll do
3D Modeling and Preparation: Management of models in Siemens NX, version control, history cleanup, and alignment with aircraft coordinate systems (FS, BL, WL).
Detail Design (Drafting): Creating 2D drawings in NX Drafting. Production of complex 2D drawings, sections, critical area details, and scaled view management.
Technical Definition (GD&T): Application of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (ASME Y14.5 / ISO 1101), definition of functional datums, and precision adjustments.
Fuselage Specialization: Generation of sheet metal developments (flat patterns), bend tables, rivet pitch calculation, and specification of fasteners (NAS/MS).
Documentation and PLM: Preparation of Bills of Materials (BOM), drill schedules, surface treatment specifications, and lifecycle management in PLM (ECN/ECR).
Quality Checks: Review of drawing rules, checking for over/under-dimensioning, and chain closures. Verifying that all dimensions originate from the model.
Deliverable Generation.

Contract: Permanent. Initial 1-year project with the possibility of continuity.
Location: Zamudio (on-site).
