We are seeking a Technical Documentation Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with engineering teams to research, structure, and create accurate, customer-oriented technical content. You will be responsible for the end-to-end development, maintenance, and visual processing of various technical documents, manuals, and online help systems.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Content Development: Create clear, customer-oriented documentation (work instructions, operation and maintenance manuals, software documentation, online help) in English and foreign languages based on inputs from engineers.
Information Research & Structuring: Conduct research, implement concepts, and structure information according to project and Document Lifecycle Management (DLM) guidelines for specific target groups.
Document Management & Migration: Migrate existing documents, perform editorial corrections, assign document formatting (styles, colors, variables), and execute textual revisions.
Graphics & Asset Management: Edit vector and pixel graphics, update technical drawings, capture screenshots, and manage image database administration.
Output Generation & Testing: Produce, process, and test PDF files, database-generated documents, lists, and online help files using MS Word, Adobe FrameMaker, or CMS tools.
Qualifications & Requirements
Proven experience in technical writing or technical content development.
Proficiency in MS Word, Adobe FrameMaker, or Component Content Management Systems (CMS).
Strong command of the English language (source language for documentation).
Basic image and graphics editing skills (vector, pixel graphics, and technical drawings).
High attention to detail regarding formatting, target-audience orientation, and structured information delivery.
