What you'll do

What you will do on a day-to-day basis…

Your main mission will be to collaborate in the monitoring and analysis of the CIB profit and loss account, both from a geographic perspective (Spain, OFEX EMEA, USA and BS Capital) and from a cross-business view (Structured Finance, Treasury, Investment Banking and Trading and Custody). Likewise, you will participate in the analysis of the forecast and in the translation of the commercial plan into a financial view, preparing projections that allow anticipating the evolution of results and supporting the decision-making of the CIB Management Committee.

You will join a Department in continuous transformation, where you will have the opportunity to actively contribute to improvement initiatives and projects with a high impact on financial management. Among other aspects:

  • You will analyze and monitor the CIB profit and loss account, identifying impacts on income, expenses, provisions and capital, and proposing corrective measures that contribute to meeting budget targets.
  • You will participate in identifying opportunities and growth levers that favor the improvement of profitability and the generation of value for CIB.
  • You will analyze, validate and monitor financial forecasts (forecast) on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis, ensuring the consistency and reliability of the information.
  • You will translate the commercial plan into a financial view, preparing profit and loss projections that facilitate the evaluation of the profitability and financial performance of the business.
  • You will participate in the functional design and development of financial monitoring tools, including dashboards, management indicators and profit and loss models.
  • You will collaborate on relevant projects aimed at improving the analysis, monitoring and financial reporting processes of CIB.

What we value…

  • That you have higher education, a university degree in Business Administration and Management, Economics, Business Sciences, Finance, Mathematics, Engineering or related disciplines. We will also positively value if you have postgraduate or master's training in these areas.
  • Your minimum experience of 2 years in financial analysis, management control or financial areas linked to the business.
  • Your advanced level of Excel and regular use of Office package tools.
  • We will positively value knowledge of information management and analysis tools.

  • Your knowledge of banking products and services.

What you'll get

What do we offer you?

  • A dynamic, collaborative and learning-oriented environment, as it is a cross-functional unit in a business as diverse as CIB.
