• That you reside in Madrid.
• Education: University degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Economics, or related disciplines. Additional training in quantitative finance or financial markets will be valued.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a Fixed Income Trader role.
• Experience in front office trading desks, preferably in fixed income.
• Deep knowledge of EGB, SSA, and Credit markets, as well as their behavior in different market cycles.
• Proficiency in financial derivatives and valuation models applied to fixed income.
• Ability to assume, manage, and defend risk positions, with discipline and responsibility.
• Solid monitoring of macroeconomic indicators, monetary policy, and geopolitical events, and their impact on the markets.
• Programming knowledge (SQL, Python, VBA, or others), oriented towards analysis, modeling, or automation.
• A profile with own judgment, decision-making under pressure, and results orientation.
• High human quality, with a strong orientation toward teamwork, internal collaboration, and transversal support.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Essential: Spanish and English (Advanced Level - C1)

We are looking for a Fixed Income Trader (Madrid) for the Treasury area, with direct responsibility in risk management and a relevant role in the definition and execution of trading strategies in fixed income markets.

Your main responsibilities will be the following:

• You will carry out the active management of proprietary risk positions within the limits established by the Bank, with exposure in EGBs, SSAs, and Credit.
• You will perform the definition, execution, and monitoring of trading strategies based on the macroeconomic, political, and market environment.
• You will provide continuous support to the distribution desk, financial management, and corporate banking by providing competitive prices and liquidity to clients through electronic trading platforms and bilateral channels.
• You will have an active participation in electronic markets, optimizing execution, pricing, and risk management.
• You will develop and maintain solid relationships with brokers, banks, and principal market participants, both locally and internationally.
• You will carry out daily communication with internal areas of the bank (sales, trading, risk, economists, financial management, etc.).
• You will contribute to the global market vision by providing your own judgment and experience to the team.
• You will have the ability to operate autonomously, maintaining close coordination with the rest of the team and Treasury.
