We are looking for a Fixed Income Trader (Madrid) for the Treasury area, with direct responsibility for risk management and a key role in defining and executing trading strategies in fixed income markets.

Your main responsibilities will be the following:

  • You will carry out the active management of proprietary risk positions within the limits established by the Bank, with exposure to EGBs, SSAs and Credit.

  • You will provide continuous support to the distribution desk, finance department and corporate banking, offering competitive prices and liquidity to clients through electronic trading platforms and bilateral channels.

  • You will maintain daily communication with internal bank areas (sales, trading, risk, economists, finance, etc.).

  • At least 2 years of experience in a Fixed Income Trader role.
  • Experience on front office trading desks, preferably in fixed income.
  • In-depth knowledge of EGB, SSA and Credit markets, as well as their behaviour across different market cycles.
  • Mastery of financial derivatives and valuation models applied to fixed income.
  • Ability to take on, manage and defend risk positions, with discipline and responsibility.
  • Solid monitoring of macroeconomic indicators, monetary policy and geopolitical events, and their impact on markets.
  • Programming knowledge (SQL, Python, VBA or others), aimed at analysis, modelling or automation.
  • Profile with sound judgement, decision-making under pressure and a results-oriented approach.
  • High personal quality, with a strong focus on teamwork, internal collaboration and cross-functional support.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Essential: Spanish and English (Advanced Level – C1)
