What we're looking for

Essential:

• Electrical, Electronic, Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering or similar.

• Previous experience in commissioning, integration, or validation of electrical and electronic systems (automotive, mobility, or equivalent).

• Ability to diagnose faults in components, sensors, and wiring autonomously.

• Knowledge of CAN networks and reading electrical diagrams.

Nice to have

Valuable:

• Experience with high voltage, batteries, and electric, hybrid, or hydrogen vehicles.

• Experience in wiring design and verification and electrical architectures.

• Experience with Vector tools (CANoe, CANape) or equivalents.

The role

We are selecting a System Engineer (electric vehicles and hydrogen) to join one of the teams that BETWEEN's Mobility and Transportation unit has deployed at one of our main clients dedicated to the development of electric vehicles and hydrogen fuel cell vehicles.

The selected person will be responsible for performing the first commissioning and integration of vehicle components and systems, checking that everything works correctly before moving on to validation.

What you'll do

What will I do? These will be your main responsibilities:

• You will execute the commissioning and first startup of vehicle components and systems (electric powertrain, fuel cell, batteries, sensors, and auxiliary systems).

• You will integrate and connect components in the vehicle, and diagnose and resolve any faults that appear (sensors, wiring, communications).

• You will collaborate in the design of the electrical architecture and wiring of the prototype, and verify its correct operation.

• You will use CAN tools (Vector, Kvaser) to check communication between systems and validate their behavior.

• You will provide support for the assembly of prototypes and for the subsequent validation of the systems.

• You will document the commissioning procedures and results and collaborate with the software, electronics, and mechanics teams.
