The role

IC Bilbao Idiomas is a well‑established, teacher‑owned English language academy in Bilbao, northern Spain, with two centres and a team of 15-20 teachers each year. We are now recruiting English teachers to join us for the 2026-27 academic year (September to June).

We teach a wide range of learners, from our Teddy Eddie groups (2-7 year olds) and young learners to teens, adults, business professionals and retirees. Classes take place at our centres in Deusto and Santutxu, in local primary schools, in companies and online, in small groups (max. 10-12 students) and one‑to‑one. IC is owned and run by teachers who still teach every week, because we believe it is essential to stay close to the classroom and understand the realities our teachers face.

How you'll work

Full‑time positions are based on an average of 34 hours per week, with lesson preparation time and travel time between centres or off‑site classes included in this total where applicable. Part‑time hours are agreed individually according to teacher availability and school needs. The school is closed at weekends, so there is no working at weekends. All our classrooms are equipped with a laptop and an interactive whiteboard or screen to support lesson delivery.

Positions available for 2026-27

For the coming academic year we are recruiting for:

Full‑time teachers (September-June)

Part‑time teachers (September-June)
