About the role

At The Vet Office we are looking for a general veterinarian to join immediately a small animal clinic that is modern, well-equipped, and has a good working environment. Weekends are not worked, and there are no on-call shifts, which allows for a good work-life balance.

We are looking for a veterinarian with a desire to learn and develop professionally, who also enjoys close contact with pet owners and working as part of a team.

You will work with dogs, cats, and small mammals, as part of an experienced team, where both the patients and the people who work at the clinic are well cared for.

What you'll do

Main responsibilities

  • Complete clinical care: medical history, examination, diagnosis, and treatment.
  • Performing and interpreting supplementary tests (laboratory analyses, X-rays, and ultrasounds).
  • Taking and sending samples to external laboratories.
  • Recording medical records and invoicing in the management program.
  • Clear and empathetic communication with the pet owners.
  • Telephone support and post-consultation follow-up.
  • Maintaining order, cleanliness, and stock control.
  • Preparing reports and health documentation (health books, passports, certificates, identification).
