PostgreSQL DBA Senior – Azure / AWS – 100% Remote (Spain)

At The Whiteam Consulting, we are looking for a Senior Systems Technician specialized in PostgreSQL to join a strategic project in a 100% remote mode from Spain.

The selected candidate will be responsible for the administration, evolution, and governance of PostgreSQL environments both On-Premise and Cloud (Microsoft Azure and AWS), participating in technological transformation initiatives, database migrations, and continuous improvement of critical infrastructures.

This is a role with high technical responsibility, where you will act as the PostgreSQL reference, working on hybrid and multicloud architectures, ensuring availability, security, and performance.

• Administration and maintenance of PostgreSQL (v13+) databases.

• Design and implementation of architectures:

  • Hybrid (On-Premise + Cloud)

  • Multicloud (Azure + AWS)

• Technical supervision of migrations to:

  • Azure Database for PostgreSQL

  • AWS RDS / Aurora PostgreSQL

• Full lifecycle management:

  • Installation

  • Configuration

  • Maintenance

  • Optimization

  • Decommissioning

• Implementation of solutions for:

  • High availability (HA)

  • Replication (physical and logical)

  • Disaster Recovery

• Performance optimization:

  • SQL tuning

  • Index and partitioning management

• Monitoring with tools:

  • Prometheus / Grafana

• Critical incident management and root cause analysis.

• Task automation (scripts and deployments).

• Coordination with teams:

  • Architecture

  • Infrastructure

  • Development

  • Cybersecurity

• Definition of technical standards and documentation.

• We have 23 days of vacation per year

• Salary: Freelance €250-€300 daily rate / €43,000 base salary

En The Whiteam Consulting estamos buscando un/a Técnico/a de Sistemas Senior especializado/a en PostgreSQL para incorporarse a un proyecto estratégico en modalidad 100% remota desde España.
