Our client seeks to strengthen their team with a person who has real experience in the creation, administration, automation, and maintenance of PostgreSQL environments, ensuring their performance, stability, and availability.

We are looking for a technical, autonomous, and decisive profile who enjoys working with database infrastructures, automating processes, and anticipating potential performance issues.

• Create and configure new PostgreSQL environments for applications.
• Provision machines and resources and install database engines using Ansible.
• Manage extensions, users, roles, and permissions.
• Integrate environments into inventory platforms (CMDB) and monitoring (O11Y).
• Maintain inventories and Ansible playbooks to automate tasks.
• Perform operating system and PostgreSQL engine updates.
• Apply security patches and ensure the correct maintenance of environments.
• Automate maintenance tasks and healthchecks using Rundeck.
• Configure and manage backups with Commvault.
• Install and maintain complementary monitoring and security tools.
• Identify and resolve performance issues.
• Optimize indices and detect those that are not being used.
• Analyze blocks, locks, and contention issues.
• Investigate I/O issues and propose improvements to guarantee the stability of environments.
• Supervise PostgreSQL environments and other engines such as Oracle and SQL Server.
• Manage alerts and monitor CPU, memory, and storage consumption.
• Verify service availability and detect blocks or long-running sessions.
