About the role
Role Summary
Senior Technicians are responsible for performing and leading complex diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance activities on electric and autonomous vehicle platforms.
This includes work on EV systems, high-voltage components, and integrated self-driving technology hardware and software. The role requires strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to support and guide junior team members during shift operations.
What you'll do
- Perform advanced diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs on electric and autonomous vehicle systems
- Execute preventive and corrective maintenance tasks to ensure vehicle readiness and reliability
- Carry out software updates, system calibrations, and configuration tasks as required
- Support installation, replacement, and testing of hardware and software components related to autonomous driving systems
- Act as the technical lead during shifts, providing guidance and escalation support to junior technicians
- Ensure all maintenance and repair work is completed according to safety, quality, and technical standards
- Maintain accurate documentation of all performed work, diagnostics, and system updates
- Collaborate with operations teams to ensure smooth vehicle flow and minimal downtime
- Follow strict safety procedures when working with high-voltage EV systems
- Support continuous improvement of technical processes and maintenance workflows
Requirements
- Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience as an automotive technician
- Experience working with electric vehicles or advanced automotive systems strongly preferred
- OEM certification (e.g., Jaguar, Hyundai, or equivalent EV platforms) is an advantage
- Strong understanding of EV systems, including high-voltage safety, battery systems, and drivetrains
- Experience with diagnostics tools, vehicle software systems, and technical troubleshooting
- Ability to work in rotating shifts, including 24/7 operational environments
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently under pressure
- Fluent English required; German or Spanish depending on location is a plus
