Are you a large component mechanics specialist with a focus on vibrations? Are you interested in advanced diagnostics and complex repairs on wind turbines?

At Vestas, we are looking for a Drive Train Expert / Vibration Technician to join the Mechanical Field Team, contributing to the performance and reliability of our wind farms.

You will be responsible for the mechanical diagnostics and vibration analysis of the drive train, ensuring early fault detection and the correct execution of repairs, including direct intervention in turbines.

What you'll do

  • Perform borescope inspections on:

    • Gearboxes
    • Generators
    • Main and blade bearings
  • Analyze monitoring systems:

    • Interpretation of vibration spectra
    • Portable CMS data analysis
    • Alarm monitoring and incident resolution
  • Execute critical mechanical repairs:

    • Up-tower and down-tower
    • Gearboxes and generators
    • Turbine interventions for the repair of vibration systems
  • Climb turbines to perform diagnostics and repair vibration systems directly in the field

  • Prepare technical documentation:

    • CMS reports
    • Reports following inspections and interventions
  • Provide technical support:

    • Installation, maintenance, and diagnosis of CMS
    • Technical recommendations based on data
