What we're looking for
- More than 7 years of experience in backend development with C# and .NET.
- Experience working with recent versions of .NET, ideally .NET 8/9.
- Real experience with hexagonal architecture and microservices.
- Having participated in the design or evolution of backend architectures, not solely in maintenance.
- Experience with distributed systems and asynchronous messaging, especially RabbitMQ or Azure Service Bus.
- Solid experience with SQL Server.
- Experience with unit testing using xUnit, NUnit, or similar frameworks.
- Experience working with Docker and Kubernetes in microservices environments.
- Experience working from technical specifications or under Spec Driven Development approaches.
- Ability to work with autonomy, technical judgment, and an orientation toward best practices.
- Availability to work in a hybrid modality, with 2 days on-site per week at the client's offices.
Nice to have
- Experience with Domain-Driven Design / DDD applied in real projects.
- Experience with Azure, especially in infrastructure, deployment, or cloud services.
- Knowledge of Azure DevOps, CI/CD, and pipelines.
- Experience with Angular for occasional frontend collaborations.
- Knowledge of design patterns and SOLID principles.
- Experience in software product projects, corporate platforms, or critical business systems.

The role
At Vortech PCI Group, we are looking to hire a Senior Backend Engineer specialized in .NET to collaborate on an international product project with one of our clients, a leading company in software solutions for the legal, tax, accounting, and human resources sectors.
The selected person will participate in the evolution of a large-scale corporate product, contributing to the transformation of a monolithic architecture towards an approach based on microservices on Azure.
We are looking for a senior profile, clearly oriented towards backend, with solid experience in C# and modern .NET, hexagonal architecture, distributed systems, asynchronous messaging, and engineering best practices.
What you'll do
- Participate in the evolution of a corporate product towards a microservices architecture on Azure.
- Design, develop, and maintain backend services using C# and .NET 8/9.
- Collaborate on architectural decisions, technical design, and the definition of scalable solutions.
- Work with hexagonal architecture, separation of concerns, and design best practices.
- Develop and integrate robust, maintainable, and quality-oriented APIs and backend services.
- Work with distributed systems and asynchronous communication via RabbitMQ or Azure Service Bus.
- Implement unit testing and contribute to a culture of technical quality.
- Participate in code reviews, technical refinements, and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with a senior technical team in an international environment.
- Contribute to the technological evolution of the product and the platform.
How you'll work
- Hybrid modality: 2 days on-site per week at the client's offices.
- Location: Valencia
