What we're looking for

We are looking for a profile with solid technical experience in Java environments, the ability to propose solutions, provide technical guidance to development teams, and participate in the functional and technical definition of new needs.

Extensive mastery of Java, including versions 7, 8, 11, 17, and 21.
Experience with frameworks such as Spring, Spring Boot, and Hibernate.
Ability to provide technical support to development teams, analyze technical problems, and propose efficient solutions.
Knowledge of monolithic, microservices architectures, Angular components, and servlets.
Experience with application servers and container platforms such as OpenShift, Azure, or similar.
Experience in Cloud environments: OpenShift, AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Knowledge of CI/CD tools, especially Bitbucket and GitHub.
Experience in the design and integration of REST and SOAP APIs.
Use of tools such as OpenAPI, Swagger, SoapUI, Postman, or other similar tools for API definition, documentation, and testing.
Knowledge of traceability, monitoring, and performance diagnosis using tools such as Kibana, Grafana, Splunk, AppDynamics, or similar.
Handling of design patterns and microservices architecture in Java.
Experience with different data sources:
- Relational databases: DB2, Oracle.
- NoSQL databases: MongoDB.
- Messaging systems: Kafka, MQ.
- APIs, external services, and third-party services.
Knowledge of identity and access management tools such as Keycloak or WSO2.
Experience in managing environments and deploying Java/Angular components to production environments, ensuring they are operational, stable, and in optimal condition.
Experience translating business requirements into clear technical specifications.
Ability to work on the elicitation and definition of user stories.
Ability to generate functional diagrams, process flows, and traceability matrices.
Experience designing test cases and generating test data for software changes, evolutions, and improvements.
Experience in backlog management, requirement prioritization, validation, and functional testing.
Good communication skills to interact with clients, users, and development teams.
Negotiation and management skills, including experience in estimation and planning.
Ability to perform testing, detect technical or functional defects, and collaborate on their resolution.

Backend Engineer Java

At Vortechgroup, we want to hire a Backend Engineer with Java experience to collaborate on a stable project for one of our clients, within a demanding technological environment oriented towards high-impact solutions.

What you'll do

The selected person will participate in the design, development, technical support, and evolution of backend components, working closely with development, business, and architecture teams.

How you'll work

Hybrid modality.
Location: Madrid Río area.
On-site presence: 2 days per week in the office.
