About the role

At We Are Social Madrid, we are a social-first team of 50 people working with brands across categories such as entertainment, pets, consumer goods, restaurants, education, technology, beverages, and more, and we are looking for a Senior Research & Insights Analyst who doesn't want to be bored.

We are thinking of someone who not only extracts metrics, but is able to decipher human behavior on the internet, identify emerging subcultures, and turn social listening into the starting point for creative ideas. If you have the ability to connect data with pop culture, and the strategic intuition to guide leading brands, this is your place!!

What you'll do

  • Design social-first research processes (qualitative and quantitative) adapted to client needs and business objectives.
  • Develop and oversee reports and audits of metrics, conversation, performance, audience, paid media, among others. As well as presenting and explaining them to the internal team, clients, and prospects.
  • Collaborate on developing new methodologies, techniques, best practices, and procedures for the R&I team.
  • Monitor the digital landscape to identify trends, consumer behaviors, and subcultures before they go mainstream.
  • Transform large volumes of data into clear, actionable conclusions with a narrative approach  to feed creative and strategic briefs.
  • Present high-impact reports directly to key clients, acting as a trusted consulting profile in digital strategy.
  • Conduct in-depth analyses of the competitive landscape, brand positioning, and digital health within the Social Media ecosystem.
  • Work hand in hand with the rest of the teams (Accounts, Creative, Influence, Paid Media)  to identify improvements and opportunities for our brands.
  • Supervise the work of more junior profiles on the team.

What we're looking for

  • At least 5 years of experience conducting data analysis, social listening, and strategic planning, ideally at creative agencies, digital agencies, or brand consultancies.
  • Advanced proficiency with platforms such as Brandwatch, Talkwalker, Sprinklr, or Pulsar (ability to structure complex Boolean queries and visualization dashboards).
  • Experience with analytics and performance tools (Emplifi, Sprout Social, Meltwater, Google Analytics, etc.).
  • Proficiency and experience with AI tools applied to data analysis, reporting, and automation, among others.
  • Absolute passion for the internet, social platforms (TikTok, Twitch, Instagram, Reddit), and digital communication codes. Ability to read between the lines in social conversation.
  • A good balance between analytical rigor and strategic/sociological vision.
  • Excellent ability to communicate complex ideas simply, both verbally and visually (designing clean, intuitive reports).
  • Fluent English level (C1/C2), as you will work with international brands and global tools.

What you'll get

At We Are Social we take this seriously. To comply with the European Salary Transparency Directive, we will contact you before the interview to provide you with detailed information about the salary range and the collective bargaining agreement applicable to this position. We want you to have all the information from the very beginning!

Hiring process

We want the process to be transparent from day one, so here is the structure of the process for you:

  1. Nice to e-meet you! (30-45 mins): A casual chat with the People & Culture team. The goal is to get to know you a bit better, understand your profile and aspirations, and answer any questions you may have.
  2. Delve into (45-60 mins): You will meet with the hiring manager assigned to this project to go deeper into your technical experience, strategic vision, and the impact you can bring to the team.
  3. Unlock your potential (Case study): We will give you a challenge that you will then present at our Madrid office, to see how you think and structure your ideas.
