What will you do with us?

Your responsibilities will include acting as a senior reference in secondary systems for High Voltage Substations, leading the architecture and design of Protection and Control systems, Telecontrol/SCADA, and Communications in highly complex projects.

You will be responsible for defining and reviewing protection philosophies, logic, interlocking, signal lists, and IEC 61850 configurations, providing expert criteria in the integration of IEDs, RTUs, gateways, networks, and telecommunications equipment. You will coordinate manufacturers and internal teams, establishing quality standards and ensuring technical consistency across disciplines. Additionally, you will lead FAT/SAT, protection and SCADA validations, commissioning, and resolution of critical incidents. You will also drive internal standardization, technical review of deliverables, and knowledge transfer, contributing to the strengthening and technical excellence of the area.

For this position, we are looking for a professional with a minimum degree in Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or equivalent, with a B2 English level and more than 15 years of experience in High Voltage Substations and Secondary Systems (132–400 kV), with technical recognition in this field.

Deep expertise in protection systems, control, interlocking, metering, telecontrol, communications, and RTU/SCADA platforms is essential, as well as demonstrated experience working with IEC 61850 —including SCL, GOOSE, and MMS— and/or SCADA protocols such as IEC 60870-5-101/104 or DNP3. Technical leadership in FAT and SAT, protection testing, and the ability to resolve complex incidents are also required.

Nice to have

As desirable requirements, we will value experience in OT cybersecurity applied to substations, including hardening tasks, network segmentation, and access management in accordance with client requirements. Knowledge of substation telecommunications, such as OPGW, networks, redundancies, and synchronization, will be a plus, as will participation in technical proposals, standardization activities using templates or checklists, and training or mentoring initiatives.
