About the role

To strengthen our team, we are looking to bring in a Senior Electrical Engineer with experience in the design of electrical systems for Data Centers or high-criticality environments, who wants to keep growing professionally in complex projects with real impact.

What will your responsibilities be?

What you'll do

  • Electrical design for Data Centers
You will take part in developing the design of critical electrical infrastructures for medium and low voltage, including distribution architectures, UPS systems, backup power generation, electrical switchboards, and critical distribution systems (PDUs, RPPs, STSs).
You will contribute to defining design criteria, redundancy strategies, availability, maintainability, and energy efficiency, as well as integration with other disciplines.

  • Electrical calculations and studies: You will develop and review electrical calculations associated with the design: load balance, equipment sizing, short-circuit studies, protection coordination, voltage drop, harmonic analysis, and grounding systems.
You will ensure the technical consistency of the system and compliance with service continuity criteria.

  • Development of technical documentation
You will prepare and review project technical documentation: single-line diagrams, electrical schematics, specifications, data sheets, load lists, drawings, and technical reports.
You will also take part in the technical review of documentation from suppliers and contractors.

  • Technical and multidisciplinary coordination: You will collaborate with architecture, mechanical, telecommunications, control/BMS, civil, structural, and commissioning teams, ensuring the correct integration of the electrical design within the Data Center as a whole.
You will attend technical meetings with the client and other project stakeholders.

  • Technical management of electrical work packages: You may take on responsibility for electrical work packages within national and international projects, ensuring compliance with scope, schedule, quality, and client requirements.
Depending on your experience, you may coordinate other engineers, review deliverables, and provide technical support.

  • Standards and regulations: You will ensure that designs comply with applicable regulations and the specific standards of the Data Center sector (IEC / EN, REBT, TIA-942, Uptime Institute, NFPA / NEC), adapting to the requirements of each client and project.

How will you do it?

You will be part of a team made up of professionals with diverse backgrounds and varied experience, which will allow you to develop an interesting and enriching perspective. At the same time, we have a Development Program focused on mentoring roles, so that in the short/medium term, you can carry out your duties and lead your projects with autonomy.

What you'll get

What are our benefits?

• You will have flexible working hours and remote work policies.

• You will have access to a flexible compensation plan.

• We give you the opportunity to enjoy a physical and emotional well-being program.

• Our commitment is to provide you with job stability and long-term projects.

• Through tools and a wide range of training, you will be able to advance in your professional development.

• You will work in a collaborative environment, where the close relationship among different disciplines facilitates the exchange of ideas, proactivity, and autonomy to thrive in complex project teams.

• We promote equal opportunities, diversity, and inclusion for all people, and we are certified as a Family-Responsible Entity (efr).

Why work with us? At Sener, we offer you the opportunity to develop and apply your technical skills in a leading international family-owned engineering firm and enjoy a wide range of professional experiences. Would you like to get to know us?

About the company & team

Who are we?

We are a young company, with extensive prior experience and in a growth phase.

At Quark, we design infrastructure to digitally connect the world in a safe, efficient, and sustainable way; developing engineering, PM/CM, and consulting services.

Our early specialization and constant commitment to the adoption of technological advances has made us a company recognized internationally for the talent, quality, and innovation of each of its projects.

Every Data Center we develop involves highly demanding technical decisions behind it: how to guarantee service continuity, how to ensure true redundancy, how to integrate electrical systems with architecture, mechanics, or control without any margin for error.

And that is where the electrical team plays a key role.

What do you need to fit in?

  • A degree in Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.

  • Relevant experience (at least 6 years of experience) in the design of electrical installations, especially in complex or critical environments.

  • Solid knowledge of medium and low voltage electrical systems.

  • Experience in designing systems with redundancy, availability, and service continuity criteria.

  • Ability to develop and review electrical calculations and technical documentation.

  • Experience in multidisciplinary work environments.

  • Advanced English (written and spoken) B2-C1.

The following will be positively valued

  • Experience in Data Center projects or critical infrastructures.

  • Knowledge of standards such as Uptime Institute, TIA-942, IEC, NFPA, or NEC.

  • Proficiency with tools such as ETAP, Caneco, Revit/BIM, Navisworks, or Dialux.

  • Participation in construction phases, commissioning, or QA/QC.

  • Experience coordinating small teams or work packages.
