The job of Cook/Chef is successfully executed when:

• Prepares the mise en place and manages food preparation and assists in the presentation of the same according to the standards and rules of their superiors.
• Health and hygiene standards (HACCP) are complied with.
• The energy and material saving policy is followed, and the waste generated is recycled.
• Good communication is maintained with all colleagues in the team and other departments on matters that may affect the hotel's operations and the well-being of guests.

The usual responsibilities of the position include: Preparing kitchen utensils for use. Gathering and preparing the ingredients for the dishes on the assigned outlet's menu. Preparing simple foods. Preparing food for service. Assisting with checking, receiving, and storing goods. Keeping storage areas organized. Cleaning the kitchen and equipment and disposing of generated waste.

The job of Commis is successfully executed when:

• Prepares the mise en place and manages food preparation and assists in the presentation of food as part of the brigade according to the standards and rules of their superiors.
• Complies with health and hygiene standards (HACCP).
• Knowledge and experience in 5-star/luxury hotels.
• Good communication is maintained with all colleagues in the team and other departments on matters that may affect the hotel's operations and the well-being of guests.

El trabajo de Cocinero/a se ejecuta satisfactoriamente cuando:

• Prepara la mise en place y maneja la preparación de alimentos y ayuda en la presentación de los mismos según los estándares y normas de sus superiores.
• Se cumple con las normas de salud e higiene (APPCC).
• Se sigue la política de ahorro de energía y material y se reciclan los residuos generados.
• Se mantiene una buena comunicación con todos los compañeros del propio equipo y de otros departamentos en cuanto a los asuntos que puedan afectar de algún modo a la operativa del hotel y el bienestar de los clientes.

Las responsabilidades habituales del puesto incluyen: Preparar los utensilios de cocina para su uso. Reunir y preparar los ingredientes de los platos del menú del outlet asignado. Preparar alimentos sencillos. Preparar los alimentos para el servicio. Ayudar en la comprobación, recepción y almacenamiento de mercancías. Mantener las zonas de almacenamiento ordenadas. Limpiar la cocina y el equipo y tratar los residuos generados.
