The role
AECOM Spain Building Services Engineering team is a highly qualified group of professionals experts in offering the best solutions to international client’s needs all around the world.
Our building services engineers are at the forefront of their discipline for the design of the mechanical, electrical and public health (MEP) systems required for the safe, comfortable and environmentally friendly operation of buildings.
As part of the continued growth of our business, we are looking to hire an experienced Senior HVAC Engineering Designer to lead and delivering upstanding mechanical engineering projects. These projects span a diverse range of construction sectors.
As a Senior HVAC Engineer, you will be expected to:
What you'll do
- Guide and lead technical design throughout the project lifecycle
- Coordinate mechanical system design with electrical engineers, architects, and other design professionals
- Design HVAC, Controls and Plumbing facilities
- Perform HVAC calculations and analysis using standard industry programs
- Perform calculations, conduct design drawing reviews, and field investigations
- Perform studies to evaluate the cost-effectiveness of design alternatives, and recommend alternatives for implementation
- Develop technical specifications, plans, elevations, section and details
- Ensure compliance with applicable codes and engineering standards / practices
- Go to site visits, and construction inspections as needed
- Engaging regularly with the Client and different stakeholders to build and maintain positive collaborative
Qualifications
- BS in Mechanical Engineering or similar field will be essential
- Strong technical background, minimum 8 years of related HVAC / Mechanical Design Engineering experience for different kind of buildings
- Good knowledge in international regulations and standards
- Fluent in English is required (verbal and written)
- Plumbing and Fire Protection systems design experience is a plus
- Experience with Revit will be an asset
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to concisely express complex system solutions in very early design phases
