The role

Are you passionate about construction and want to influence the real quality of projects from design through to delivery? We are looking for a professional with solid experience in construction execution who can bring construction knowledge, cost insight, and technical criteria to the project team, ensuring our solutions are technically feasible, efficient, and executable. You will play a key role in supervising construction, resolving issues, and transferring knowledge between the design and execution phases.

You will be responsible for the technical, physical, and economic monitoring of the company's construction projects, acting as the link between project teams and on-site execution. You will participate in reviewing and improving construction solutions, identifying risks, deviations, and incidents, proposing corrective measures, and helping projects meet their established quality, cost, schedule, and safety objectives. Additionally, you may assume the duties of Construction Execution Director (Dirección de Ejecución de Obra) in accordance with the Building Management Law (LOE) when appointed for such role, depending on the nature of the project and your designation.

What you'll do

  • You will carry out the technical monitoring of the company's construction projects, verifying the correct execution of works and their compliance with the project, applicable regulations, and client requirements.
  • You will contribute practical construction knowledge to the design team, helping to define and optimize construction solutions, specifications, measurements, and budgets.
  • You will act as the technical liaison between project teams, the client/property owner, the construction management, contractors, and all other stakeholders involved.
  • You will identify construction, technical, or economic risks that could affect the project's development and promote corrective or preventive measures.
  • You will review technical execution documentation, including drawings, construction details, shop drawings, materials, samples, and contractor proposals.
  • You will participate in site meetings, technical coordination, and project monitoring in Spanish or English, as required by each assignment.
  • You will analyze queries, incidents, interferences, or deviations detected during execution and propose viable, coordinated technical solutions.
  • You will verify the physical progress of works and their alignment with the planned schedule.
  • You will carry out the economic monitoring of the project, including the technical review of certifications, measurements, changes, claims, and potential schedule extensions.
  • You will prepare periodic status reports, identifying milestones, risks, deviations, and necessary corrective actions. You will maintain the documentary traceability of technical decisions made during execution.
  • You will assume the duties of Construction Execution Director (Dirección de Ejecución de Obra) established by the Building Management Law (LOE) when appointed to do so.

Requirements

  • Degree in Technical Architecture (Arquitectura Técnica), Building Engineering (Ingeniería de Edificación), or equivalent technical qualification.
  • Proven experience of 5 or more years in building construction execution, construction management, project monitoring, technical assistance, or equivalent roles.
  • Solid knowledge of construction systems, execution processes, planning, measurements, budgeting, and cost control.
  • Ability to interpret and review multidisciplinary technical documentation.
  • Proficiency in standard industry tools (Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, Presto, MS Project, or equivalent).
  • Availability to travel and work regularly on-site.
  • High level of English.

Key Competencies

  • Effective communication and teamwork. Ability to convey complex technical information clearly, rigorously, and adapted to different audiences; fostering coordination among designers, specialists, contractors, clients, and other project stakeholders. Ability to transfer execution experience into the design process, bringing real-world knowledge of construction, costs, scheduling, and construction methods to improve the quality, efficiency, and feasibility of projects through lessons learned.
  • Client orientation and negotiation skills. Understanding client needs and priorities and contributing to their business objectives through viable, efficient technical solutions; facilitating agreements among the different parties involved and managing conflict situations constructively. Commercial awareness, identifying opportunities to strengthen client relationships and generate added value for the company.
  • Problem-solving and decision-making. Ability to analyze technical, construction, and economic issues, identify viable alternatives, and make sound decisions based on practical criteria and a results-oriented approach, in coordination with the Project Director. Organizational skills and priority management, effectively handling multiple projects, stakeholders, and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Proactivity and risk management. Ability to anticipate deviations, interferences, construction risks, or cost overruns, driving preventive and corrective actions before they impact project development. You will act with adaptability and resilience, performing effectively in dynamic, demanding environments subject to frequent changes.
