The role
An opportunity has arisen for the position of Aeronautical Structural Assembly and CNC Technician at Airbus Defence and Space, Getafe (Madrid) with a triple-shift schedule: 2 weeks on morning shift, 2 weeks on afternoon shift, and 2 weeks on night shift.
The selected candidate will join the Eurofighter Wing Assembly Line team. This multidisciplinary team is responsible for mechanical, structural, and systems integration. The selected person will reinforce the production line, participating in high-precision operations with numerical control (CNC) machines, mechanical assembly, and quality delegation tasks to ensure the delivery of wings within the required timeframe and quality levels.
What you'll do
The main tasks of the selected person will be:
Equip, configure, and operate CNC machines, drilling tools, and fixtures according to technical documentation to execute mechanical and structural assemblies.
Perform structural assembly, mechanical integration, sealant application, and bonding processes on metallic and composite material components.
Execute first-level quality inspection under quality delegation, ensuring strict compliance with quality standards, FOD prevention, safety, and 5S.
Carry out structural repairs, document all tasks in digital work orders using tablets, and deliver the wing assembly ready for testing.
Drive continuous improvement by developing efficient manufacturing concepts, participating in panels, and in the root cause analysis of non-conformities (NCs).
Comply with and promote applicable regulations regarding quality, environment, occupational risk prevention, and industrial resource control.
REQUIREMENTS

Education: Vocational Training (Intermediate or Higher Degree) in Aeronautical Maintenance, Machining, Mechanical Manufacturing, or an equivalent technical discipline.
Experience: At least 5 years of experience in structural assembly and a minimum of 3 years operating CNC drilling machines in an industrial environment.
Working Day: Availability and interest in a triple-shift schedule: 2 weeks on morning shift, 2 weeks on afternoon shift, and 2 weeks on night shift (2M - 2T - 2N).
Soft skills: High adaptability, ability to work under pressure, teamwork orientation, and a proactive attitude to propose ideas and improvements.
Languages: Fluent Spanish (knowledge of English will be valued).
Technical knowledge: Interpretation of blueprints, work instructions, and aeronautical regulations; handling of metallic and composite materials; use of digital tools for work orders (tablets, 2D/3D); availability to work triple shifts and travel.
Valuable / Desirable: Previous experience in the Eurofighter program; experience in industrial maintenance and knowledge of the SIPLA tool; and availability to travel 2-3 times a year to client facilities.
