About the role

At Amazon, the health and well-being of our workforce is an absolute priority. As an Occupational Health Physician, you will be at the heart of our mission: creating the safest possible working environment. You will work within a multidisciplinary Health and Safety team, combining prevention, healthcare, training, and emergency management. This role combines on-site presence with administrative management, including regular use of IT tools (Office suite and internal Amazon tools). It offers a variety of functions, professional development opportunities within the Amazon network, and an attractive compensation and benefits package.

A day in the life

You play a key role within the Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) team. Your day-to-day will be dynamic and impactful, focused on creating a healthy and safe working environment. You will alternate between conducting health interviews, providing medical assistance, and analyzing, anticipating, and proactively addressing occupational health challenges. Part of your time will also be dedicated to administrative tasks through our IT tools: managing medical appointments, analyzing data in spreadsheets, and using internal Amazon tools.

What you'll do

Key job responsibilities

As a full member of the Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) team, your responsibilities cover a broad scope:

1 - Medical Monitoring and Support for Employees: Organize and conduct nursing interviews and mandatory medical examinations, and ensure their follow-up through our dedicated software programs. Carry out health counseling actions and specific awareness campaigns (MSDs, gestures and postures, healthy lifestyle habits). Support the HR department and managers in adapting workstations to promote continued employment, in close collaboration with a multidisciplinary team (psychologist, social worker, osteopath, ergonomist).

2 - Emergency Management and First Aid Training: Train and supervise Workplace First Responders, and provide emergency care according to medical protocols. Analyze interventions to identify areas for improvement and participate in investigations of workplace accidents and occupational diseases.

3 - Occupational Risk Prevention: Support ergonomic analysis and ensure on-the-ground risk prevention. Manage the statistical tracking of workplace accidents. Conduct periodic observations to identify risk situations, ensure their traceability through our internal tools, and contribute to the implementation of corrective actions.

4 - Active Contribution to the Safety Approach: Beyond your healthcare duties, you actively participate in the site's safety approach: conducting audits, supporting specific programs, and contributing to risk analyses. You perform safety routines, analyze data, and autonomously deploy action plans.

5 - Nursing Coordination and Management: Ensure the link between the inter-company health service and operational teams. Manage the nursing office (pharmacy, supplies) and maintain regulatory records in digital format (nursing care, minor injuries, incident logs). Coordinate first aid supplies and occupational exposure sheets, and share best practices with the nursing network.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in Medicine with specialization in Occupational Medicine (via MIR pathway or obtaining the Diploma of Specialization in Occupational Medicine).
  • Experience as an internal or external occupational health physician.
  • Knowledge of Spanish legislation on occupational health and safety.

Nice to have

  • Preferred qualifications are not required to apply to Amazon. If you possess all the basic qualifications listed above, we would be delighted to receive your application.
  • Additional training in occupational health is highly valued (Master's in Occupational Risk Prevention, Specialty in Occupational Health Nursing or Occupational Medicine).
  • Initial experience in occupational health is a plus.
  • An operational level of English is a real advantage for your professional development and future growth opportunities within our teams.
