The role

Amazon Business is reinventing how organizations of every size—from sole proprietors to global enterprises—discover, buy, and manage what they need to run. We're looking for a Senior Product Designer to own the end-to-end experience across our core buying surfaces and help shape where business procurement goes in an AI-native world.

You'll work with Product, Engineering, Research, and Conversational Design to turn ambiguous, large-scope problems into experiences that are simple, trustworthy, and measurably better for business customers. This is a senior individual contributor role: you'll set the design direction for complex problems where requirements and technical feasibility aren't yet defined, drive cross-team alignment, and raise the craft bar for the designers around you. The ideal candidate pairs strong product thinking with rigorous craft, is fluent moving between qualitative and quantitative signals, embraces AI tools to iterate prototypes with partners and customers, and leads partners and leaders to critical strategic decisions.

A day in the life

In a typical day you will be balancing understanding the customer, with hands-on-craft to create proposal or create strategic framings to facilitate decisions with product and business leaders.

In a normal day you will align with your PM and tech lead on priorities and trade-offs for an upcoming milestone, organize your focus time to do deep detailed design work or thinking, review previous research reports and experiment data, meet with partner UX teams to keep adjacent experiences coherent, and present or review concepts in a design critique or cross-functional review to drive a decision. Throughout, you're unblocking engineering, working with our design systems, and coaching a teammate on their work.

What you'll do

Key job responsibilities

- Lead the design of business specific features on top of Amazon.com store capabilities, from framing to detailed design and launch, contributing to define the strategy.

- Partner with Product and Engineering to shape requirements, make high-judgment trade-offs, and ensure designs account for system constraints, edge cases, and scale.

- Synthesize conflicting information from customer anecdotes, heuristics, user tests, surveys, experiments data and product analytics into a perspective, and use it to inform product roadmaps and org-level design strategy.

- Present and defend design recommendations in stakeholder reviews, building consensus among partners who may be diverging.

- Measure the impact of what you ship through product, CX metrics and customer anecdotes, and feed learnings back into the roadmap.

- Define and refine interaction patterns, standards, ways of working and mechanisms, and drive their adoption across teams to reduce duplication and increase delivery speed.

- Contribute to the definition of new ways of working with AI, and be up to date on new standards and paradigms.

- Actively mentor and critique with other designers, helping raise the craft bar across the team.
