About the role

At Aqualia, a company specialized in integrated water cycle management, we are looking for a Swimming Instructor for a sports facility in San Lorenzo de El Escorial (Madrid).

What you'll do

Your main responsibilities will be:

To understand and participate in the development of the technical, global, and specific programming, as well as the tasks and activities to be carried out.

  • To deliver instructional activities: swimming classes, courses, general or specific sessions, following the guidelines set out in the programming, through the implementation of sessions and schedules, promoting the acquisition of skills and prioritizing socio-educational objectives.

To take full responsibility for the supervision, safety (with rigorous control of risk factors), and organization of the students under your charge, as well as the evaluation of progress, resources, and objectives.

  • To assess the sporting needs, gather qualitative and quantitative information, and propose resources, programs, or projects to be created or developed, participating in their development and/or evaluation.
  • To participate in the preparation of the service's technical documentation.
  • To inform users (as well as their families when necessary) about the development of sporting, educational, and other service-related activities.
  • To take responsibility for the organization of the means, equipment, and materials under your charge.
  • To compile statistics and records of the students under your charge.
  • To prepare daily reports indicating the work and technical assistance provided, and to communicate and report any incidents or anomalies in the service to your hierarchical or functional superiors.
  • To constantly ensure compliance with and enforcement of the safety and conduct rules established for the use of the various facilities.
  • To prepare, distribute, collect, and properly store the educational, instrumental, or auxiliary material for the activities.

Requirements

Qualifications: Lifeguard / TAFAD / Swimming Instructor

Required experience: Minimum of 1 year in a similar position.

Schedule: Fridays 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM and Saturdays 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM. Total hours/week: 8 hours/week (17.95% of a full-time schedule).
