R&D Technician

Required Experience: at least 1 year. Experience in demonstration-scale pilot plants or operation of industrial wastewater treatment facilities.

Essential Specific Knowledge: Definition and execution of operation-optimization plans for complex industrial facilities (aspects relating to biotechnology, electromechanics, hydraulics, and pneumatics).

Availability to travel to workplaces.

Valuable Specific Knowledge: Anaerobic digestion technologies or systems, wastewater treatment, and biogas.

Languages: Spanish and English (valuable but not essential).

Required Qualification: Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Biology, Master's degree in a technical field.

We are looking for a researcher, whose main duties will be:

• Optimization of treatment plant operations. Operation and maintenance tasks.

• Prepare and take responsibility for the preventive maintenance plan for equipment and facilities, as well as verify correct functioning, especially of critical elements. Incident management and associated documentation.

• Interaction with Aqualia technical staff, as well as partners of co-financed projects.

• Analytical monitoring: collection, monitoring, and analysis of samples.

• Critical analysis of results, deep knowledge of the process, proposal of improvements, and preparation of reports.

• Occasional support in the preparation of orders, specification of purchases, and communication with suppliers, as well as external procurement and assembly. Occasionally, participation in internal and consortium meetings.
