Requirements
What we're looking for
Ideally you will bring:
- Studies in Architecture or related studies
- 5+ years of experience in complex projects
- Previous experience in Spanish Execution projects and permitting processes
- Special interest in Science and Technology projects
- Knowledge of CAD and Revit is essential
- Knowledge of Adobe package (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop)
- Full professional competence in Spanish and a high level of English (C1)
- Interest in working on multidisciplinary projects and interest in sustainability and innovation
- Excellent organizational and communciation skills
Nice to have
- Experience in Environmental and PIGA processes, urban processing or territorial organization
- Knowledge in communication and visualization
- Knowledge in cloud based information exchange platforms such as Aconex, Procore

The role
We are seeking a Senior Architect- Site Architect - Data Center projects to join our Architecture team in Spain and contribute to high-profile national and international projects. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on complex data centre developments alongside multidisciplinary teams across Arup's global network. You will gain exposure to some of the world's most challenging hyperscale programmes, developing innovative solutions from design through construction while expanding your technical expertise in a collaborative and forward-thinking environment.
What you'll do
The successful candidate will bring strong design skills, technical knowledge and a collaborative mindset, with a desire to contribute to hyperscale ongoing data-center projects that have a lasting impact on cities and communities worldwide. This is a senior role therefore minimum of 8-10 years experience is preferable.
As an Architect at Arup, you will:
- Contribute to the design and delivery of strategic datacenter infrastructure projects across Spain and internationally.
- Work alongside multidisciplinary teams on complex, high-profile programmes throughout site stage and evolving design changes.
- Develop architectural solutions that respond to technical, operational and user-centred requirements.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, consultants and project stakeholders to deliver integrated design outcomes.
- Gain exposure to international best practices, innovative design approaches and technically challenging projects across Arup's global portfolio.
- Support the continued growth of Arup's SIT architecture capability.
