What we're looking for

We're looking for someone who is skilled and enthusiastic Structural BIM Technician. These are the essential skills and qualifications for the position:

  • Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Architectural Technology, Higher Technical Qualification, or equivalent qualification related to construction, engineering, or digital design.
  • Minimum 5-6 years' experience in Structural BIM Modelling.
  • Proven ability to lead and coordinate multidisciplinary projects, collaborating with different disciplines and technical teams to ensure the successful integration of information and BIM deliverables.
  • Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Revit for building services projects, and AutoCAD.

Nice to have

We also value:

  • Strong proficiency in Autodesk Forma, ACC, and/or BIM360.
  • Ability to interpret technical documentation and electrical system schematics.
  • Experience with Navisworks, Solibri, or other BIM coordination tools.
  • Ability to lead tasks, organise priorities, and coordinate project resources.
  • Knowledge of Dynamo, Python, or other automation tools.
  • Experience with OpenBIM workflows and IFC model exchange.
  • Knowledge of ISO 19650 and information management principles.
  • Experience in BIM coordination of low-voltage, medium-voltage, lighting, special systems, and telecommunications installations.

The role

This is an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented and motivated professional to lead BIM management for the electrical discipline, coordinating models, resources, and deliverables, Contribute to the implementation of digital processes, BIM standards, and information management best practices throughout the entire project lifecycle, while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams in a highly digitalised environment.

What you'll do

  • Lead the BIM production of electrical systems for national and international projects.
  • Develop, review, and coordinate electrical BIM models using Autodesk Revit.
  • Plan and coordinate modelling activities within the electrical discipline.
  • Manage the quality, consistency, and accuracy of BIM models and associated deliverables.
  • Coordinate electrical models with architectural, structural, and mechanical disciplines.
  • Oversee the production of drawings, schematics, schedules, and technical documentation derived from BIM models.
  • Participate in design reviews, coordination meetings, and quality control processes.
  • Identify, manage, and track modelling and coordination issues.
  • Contribute to the creation and maintenance of BIM libraries, templates, and families.
  • Promote the use of automation tools and digital processes to improve project efficiency.
  • Work within collaborative information management environments and support the implementation of BIM best practices.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to other team members.
