Application Security Lead

• Degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

• 5-7 years of experience in cybersecurity, security engineering, cloud security, or technology governance roles.

• Strong fundamentals in application security, cloud security (Azure preferred), DevSecOps, or endpoint security.

• Practical experience with Linux namespaces, seccomp, AppArmor, OAuth 2.0/OIDC, and secret management platforms.

• Working knowledge of AI security risks, including prompt injection, jailbreak techniques, and context leakage.

• Familiarity with regulatory frameworks such as GDPR, EU AI Act, and Swiss FADP.

• Fluency in English.

• Certifications like CISSP, CISM, CCSP, or Azure Security certifications are a plus.

Join Axpo in Madrid as an Application Security Lead to support the secure adoption and governance of emerging technologies across business and technology environments. This high-impact role combines cybersecurity engineering, security architecture, regulatory compliance, and operational enablement to ensure technologies are implemented securely, responsibly, and in alignment with business and regulatory requirements.

• Design, implement, and continuously improve governance and security frameworks across the organization.

• Define and maintain security guardrails, governance principles, and operational controls for AI platforms, tools, and workflows.

• Develop standards and technical guidance related to AI security and responsible AI usage.

• Design and support implementation of security controls, including sandboxing, identity and access management, secret management, and secure API usage.

• Conduct risk assessments and security reviews, addressing threats such as prompt injection, jailbreak techniques, and context leakage.

• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including EU AI Act, GDPR, Swiss FADP, and NIS2.

• Provide awareness and training initiatives focused on secure and responsible AI usage.
