About the role

We are looking to bring on board a MATERIALS SPECIALIST ENGINEER to join our INDUSTRY/PIPING team, taking part in projects of national and international scope with high technical demands.

You will have the opportunity to contribute to developing solutions that respond to real challenges on a global scale, working alongside specialized teams.

What you'll do

· Develop and maintain piping material specifications (Piping Material Classes).

· Select suitable materials based on process conditions, pressure, temperature, and corrosion.

· Prepare and review technical specifications, data sheets, and purchase requisitions.

· Evaluate and approve supplier technical documentation.

· Ensure compliance with international standards and codes such as ASME, ASTM, API, ISO, and EN.

· Provide technical support to the Process, Stress, Equipment, Procurement, Construction, and Inspection disciplines.

· Participate in technical meetings with clients, suppliers, and inspection bodies.

· Manage technical queries and supply deviations.

· Contribute to the standardization and optimization of materials within the organization.

REQUIREMENTS

· Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Metallurgical, Materials Engineering, or equivalent.

· Minimum of 10 years of experience in piping materials engineering in sectors such as Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Chemical, Energy, or Hydrogen.

· Solid knowledge of metallic materials and special alloys: Carbon Steel, LTCS, Stainless Steel, Duplex, Super Duplex, Alloy Steel, Nickel Alloys, among others.

· Command of ASME, ASTM, and API codes and standards.

· Experience in developing Piping Material Specifications and piping classes.

· Advanced Excel level.

· High level of technical English.
