Waiter's Assistant (20 hours/week) - Hotel Barceló Emperatriz

The waiter's assistant participates in operational support activities for food and beverage service, carrying out preparation, setup, customer service, and collection tasks. They always act under the supervision of a waiter or supervisor, contributing to the proper development of service in the dining room, bar, or events. Main functions:

Support in the restaurant under the supervision of a waiter or supervisor.
Basic customer service, especially on the terrace and at the bar.
Occasional taking of drink orders.
Setup and arrangement of furniture when necessary and always under supervision.
Opening and closing of the assigned work area, at the start or end of service.
Preparation of materials and products for service.
Verification, restocking, and basic control of inventory of materials and beverages.
Completion of daily service reports.
Simple event setups (restocking, placing coffee makers, moving tables, boards, notebooks, pens, etc.).
Logistical support in retrieving and restocking materials from the warehouse, completing warehouse withdrawal lists for supervision.
Execution of tasks following the instructions of a supervisor, without assuming decision-making in service.

• Education: Intermediate Vocational Training in Hospitality. Mandatory HACCP training.
• Experience: minimum one year in a similar position.
• Languages: Intermediate - Advanced English.
• Knowledge in hospitality is valued.
• Ability to work in a team.

El ayudante de camarero participa en las actividades de apoyo operativo al servicio de comidas y bebidas, ejecutando tareas de preparación, montaje, atención al cliente y recogida. Actúa siempre bajo la supervisión de un camarero o superior, contribuyendo al correcto desarrollo del servicio en sala, barra o eventos. Funciones principales:

Apoyo en el restaurante bajo la supervisión de un camarero o superior.
Atención básica a clientes, especialmente en terraza y barra.
Toma ocasional de comandas de bebidas.
Montaje y organización de mobiliario cuando sea necesario y siempre bajo supervisión.
Apertura y cierre de la zona de trabajo asignada, al inicio o final del servicio.
Preparación de materiales y productos para el servicio.
Verificación, reposición y control básico de existencias de materiales y bebidas.
Cumplimentación de los partes diarios del servicio.
Montajes sencillos de eventos (reposiciones, colocación de cafeteras, traslado de mesas, tableros, libretas, bolígrafos, etc.).
Apoyo logístico en la extracción y reposición de material desde el almacén, cumplimentando listado de extracciones de almacén para supervisión.
Ejecución de tareas siguiendo las indicaciones de un superior, sin asumir toma de decisiones en el servicio.

• Formación: Ciclo Formativo Grado Medio en Hostelería. Formación en APPCC obligatoria.
• Experiencia: mínimo un año en puesto similar.
• Idiomas: Inglés Medio - Alto.
