About the role
The Design Engineer in the Maintenance area will have as main function to coordinate the activities and personnel of the machining workshop, as well as to provide support in carrying out design requests from the different manufacturing areas.
What you'll do
Responsibilities:
- Provide support in the field of design and machining to the manufacturing area that requires it, managing priorities and supporting the search for solutions to technical problems.
- Ensure planned and optimized use of technicians and materials, seeking to optimize the available resources of the machining workshop.
- Ensure that all maintenance plans (internal or contractor) comply with safety, regulatory, and operational requirements of the BD.
- 100% compliance with scheduled preventive maintenance completed on time.
- Validate the time, materials, resources, and tools necessary to complete each job (PM/Other activities) for the assigned section.
- Coordinate the generation of work orders and notifications/requests, with the needs of the different manufacturing areas. The coordination and generation of orders will be carried out through SAP/CMMS.
- Coordinate the generation and filing of documentation required by the Asset Care department.
- Monitor and control the metrics defined by the department applicable to the area of responsibility.
- Contact external workshops and suppliers to follow up on work, request quotes, and obtain equipment information.
- Collaborate with the Production, Quality, and Continuous Improvement departments to achieve the operational and project objectives of the area of responsibility.
- Management and monitoring of projects, CAPEX, assigned technical personnel, training plans, material resources, and available means.
- Management and monitoring of equipment spare parts; new equipment additions, obsolete equipment removals, stock levels, criticality, monitoring, standardization, cost optimization.

What you'll do
Responsabilitidades:
- Dar soporte en el ámbito de diseño y mecanizado al área de manufactura que lo requiera gestionando prioridades y apoyando en la búsqueda de soluciones a problemas técnicos.
- Garantizar una utilización planificada y optimizada de los técnicos y materiales, tratando de optimizar los recursos disponibles del taller de mecanizado.
- Garantizar que todos los planes de mantenimiento (internos o de contratistas) cumplan con los requisitos de seguridad, reglamentarios y operativos de BD.
- 100 % de cumplimiento de los mantenimientos preventivos programados completados a tiempo.
- Validar el tiempo, los materiales, los recursos y las herramientas necesarios para completar cada trabajo (PM/Otras actividades) para la sección asignada.
