Internship in the Machining Purchasing Department

• Gain an overall view of purchasing processes
• Prepare documentation for material contributions to machining suppliers
• Confirm and follow up on delivery dates for machining orders
• Update new payment terms in SAP
• Prepare comparisons of quotes from machining suppliers
• Negotiate and award machining orders
• Maintain physical and digital filing of orders
• Collect, issue, and send technical assessments to machining suppliers
• Request and interpret technical quotes

Bosch Manufacturing Solutions is a department that builds machines and assembly lines for the rest of the Bosch group's factories, and in the purchasing department we handle all purchases made for the construction projects of these machines.

Although it is a purchasing department, there is a lot of technical work involved, since 90% of the parts we have manufactured are prototypes, and there is a great deal of checking of tolerances, dimensions, etc. on the drawings that we have to clarify with the various machining suppliers.

Experience tells us that at the end of the internship, the student gains experience in machining manufacturing processes, tolerances, and raw materials available on the market, which is very valuable for their future.

• Industrial Organization Engineer, Industrial Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, Materials Engineer, Industrial Management Engineering, Production/Manufacturing Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering
• Microsoft Office
• Use of 2D drawing programs (Autocad) and 3D (Inventor), material selection, and structural calculation
• Basic knowledge of CNC machining (desirable)
• Basic knowledge of parts manufacturing (desirable)
• English language (intermediate level) in addition to speaking Spanish
• Outgoing personality, as there is a lot of speaking/contacting with suppliers

Bosch Manufacturing Solutions es un departamento de construcción de máquinas y líneas de montaje para el resto de fábricas del grupo Bosch y en departamento de compras llevamos todas las compras que se realizan para los proyectos de construcción de estas máquinas.

Aunque es un departamento de compras, hay mucha técnica de por medio, ya que las piezas que mandamos fabricar son en un 90% prototipos y hay mucha recursión de tolerancias, cotas, etc en los planos que tenemos que aclarar con los distintos proveedores de mecanizado.

La experiencia nos dice que al final de las prácticas el estudiante consigue une experiencia en procesos de fabricación de mecanizado, tolerancias, materias primas disponibles en el mercado muy buenas de cara a su futuro.
