  • Research regulatory standards and high-risk verticals to support a risk-based approach and present strategic recommendations to Second Line Compliance.
  1. AML Control Walkthroughs & Policy Reviews
  • Lead live AML Control Walkthroughs (video and occasionally in person) with client compliance and operational teams to test and validate their live CDD, payment screening, transaction monitoring, and SAR escalation environments.
  • Perform desktop reviews of third-party AML/CFT, Sanctions, and Transaction Monitoring, policies and procedures and external audit reports to identify material gaps and agree remediation action plans.
  1. Ongoing Portfolio Oversight & Quality Assurance
  • Manage complex scheduled Annual Periodic Reviews (APRs), Event-Driven Reviews (EDRs), and Embedded Partner Customer (EPC) reviews for higher-risk accounts.
  • Act as a Checker / Escalation SME, reviewing and approving complex CDD/EDD files, risk rating shifts, account change requests, and nested flow authorisations.
  • Conduct advanced transaction pattern analysis comparing 12-month transaction volumes against expected activity profiles and known risk typologies.
  • Serve as a key liaison to the Second Line Compliance, MLROs, and Senior Management for high-risk client approvals and policy escalations.
