What we're looking for

Academic Background: Degree in Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, Industrial Engineering, Automation, Electronics, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field. A master's degree or specialization in Big Data, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Cloud, Data Engineering, or Advanced Analytics will be valued.
Professional Experience: Minimum 2-4 years of experience in data engineering, development of analytical solutions, ML/AI, or cloud platforms. Experience in industrial environments, with technology stacks (Microsoft, AWS, Databricks), railway systems, IoT, maintenance, operations, critical software, or systems integration will be valued.
Generic Competencies: Teamwork, customer orientation and value generation, autonomy, analytical thinking, continuous learning capacity, communication with technical and non-technical profiles, and a focus on quality, security, and regulatory compliance.
Technical Competencies: LangGraph, LLMs, AWS Cloud (Azure valued), Python, SQL, Spark, APIs, Git, CI/CD, Docker/containers, Databricks, Automation (N8N, PowerAutomate, PowerApps), Microsoft Graph and Microsoft stack, Power BI, data modeling, data quality, MLOps/DataOps/LLMOps, data and model observability, integration with corporate systems (SAP, 3DX, CMMS, Office365, SharePoint, or others), GenAI/RAG/agents, cybersecurity fundamentals, and good practices for production deployment.

Languages

Required Languages: Spanish and advanced English. Basque, French, German, or other languages relevant to collaboration with CAF's international business will be positively valued.

The role

We are looking for a person with a passion for data, automation, and Artificial Intelligence technologies, capable of transforming business needs into scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions. You will be part of an innovative and multidisciplinary environment, contributing to the development of internal capabilities in data engineering, applied AI, observability, governance, and the operation of advanced data and artificial intelligence platforms.

What you'll do

Implement use cases for automation, machine learning, generative AI, and enterprise agents, ensuring scalability, traceability, quality, security, and maintainability.
Design, develop, and industrialize batch and near real-time data pipelines on the Data & AI Platform, integrating industrial and documentary sources.
Apply DataOps, MLOps, and LLMOps practices: data/model versioning, CI/CD, monitoring, observability, incident management, documentation, and orderly production deployment.
Contribute to analytical and AI self-service through reusable components, best practices, technical documentation, training, and support for advanced users and partners.
Collaborate with business departments, IT, cybersecurity, compliance, and functional managers to translate business needs into reusable Data/AI solutions aligned with the architecture.
