What you'll do
You will be part of the PLTF team in Alcobendas, participating in the definition and industrialization of a safety platform on multicore HW COTS and ensuring its integration with product applications.
- You will define the HW/SW architecture, resource allocation, and the execution of applications and tasks.
- You will reduce dependencies on current HW, addressing BSP, drivers, interfaces, and abstraction mechanisms.
- You will work on multicore and RTOS: CPU, memory, scheduling, IPC, communications, and determinism.
- You will design redundancy, supervision, recovery, synchronization, reintegration, and hot swap mechanisms.
- You will integrate cybersecurity and collaborate on prototypes, test benches, testing, and HW/SW incident analysis.
You will succeed if...
- You have real experience working with real-time operating systems (RTOS) in embedded environments.
- You have solid knowledge in low-level software development using C/C++.
- You have worked with multicore architectures, preferably ARM, and have experience in CPU and memory management.
- You possess experience in the development and integration of BSPs, drivers, and HW/SW interfaces, as well as in software portability between different platforms.
- You have an in-depth knowledge of concepts such as process scheduling, memory management, IPC mechanisms, and TCP/IP communications.
- You feel comfortable performing debugging tasks in embedded systems and analyzing incidents in the interaction between hardware and software.
- You bring knowledge in redundant architectures, high-availability systems, and critical environments related to functional safety.
- We will especially value previous experience in railway systems or in other environments where reliability, availability, and safety are key requirements.
